PIERRE LE FAGUAYS (FRENCH 1892 - 1962) AN ART DECO BRONZE FIGURE TITLED "AMAZON" the patinated bronze figure depicts a young woman in a striking pose standing on one foot holding a raised shield in one hand and a sword in her other hand. The figure stands on a tall, portoro marble base, which is signed Faguays. The figure is numbered under one foot, and the sword is removable. This is a rare and beautiful figure, finely cast with hand-finished detail.
