A GEORGE I EBONISED DUTCH-STRIKING AND QUARTER-CHIMING EIGHT DAY TABLE CLOCK WITH MOONPHASE the inverted bell top case with brass ball finials and pierced wood sound frets, chamfered angles with conforming frets below ringed side handles, on brass block feet; the 8 inch brass dial with female bust and foliate spandrels to a silvered chapter ring surrounding a date square and false pendulum aperture to a matted centre with recessed cartouche signed John Berry London, floral painted centres to subsidiaries for strike hours/silent and strike quarters/silent, and a painted rolling moon to the engraved arch with blued steel hands; the eight day seven ringed pillar triple fusee movement with verge escapement quarter-striking on six bells and Dutch striking on two further bells, the backplate profusely engraved with scrolling foliage, previously sold at Christie's, 18 November 2010.

The clock looks to have been restored in recent years; the case has no losses or damage. The dial is also in good condition, the movement is original to the case and is complete and in good working condition, chiming the correct quarters and hours, moonphase and calendar also working.
