SEDDON, FRODSHAMAN. AN 18TH CENTURY MAHOGANY EIGHT-DAY BRASS DIAL LONGCASE CLOCK WITH SPHERICAL MOON TO THE ARCH the 13" brass dial with cast brass spandrels and silvered Roamn chapter ring enclosing an unusual dial centre with cross hatched engraved and matted ground fitted with a silvered date band and signed to the bottom, below a painted arch with rotating globe moon to the centre, fronting an eight-day weight driven movement with bell strike and anchor escapement. The arched hood with a moulded pediment and fluted columns, enclosing the painted moonphase above the arch, and a brass-mounted silvered dial with Roman numerals and a matted centre, signed Seddon Frodsham; the trunk with a flame-figured arched door flanked by fluted quarter columns, raised on a panelled plinth base.
