AN EARLY 18TH CENTURY BURR WALNUT LONGCASE CLOCK the arched top hood with pierced frieze above a glazed door flanked by turned columns on a slender trunk with raised moulded edge and oval brass framed lenticle on a box base raised on bun feet; the 12" arched brass dial with gilt masked spandrels and silvered chapter ring surrounding a matted centre with subsidiary seconds dial and calendar aperture, silvered alarm disc to centre and name boss to the arch fronting an eight-day weight driven movement with five finned pillars striking the hours on a bell
