ROBERT DINGLY, LONDON A LATE 17TH CENTURY 11" MARQUETRY INLAID WALNUT LONGCASE CLOCK the hood with moulded pediment above a pierced sound fret and glazed dial aperture flanked by barley twist columns on a slender trunk with D-moulded door, floral marquetry and songbird panels on a matching base raised on bun feet. The 11" square brass dial with gilt pierced cherub's head spandrels and silvered chapter ring with Roman numerals surrounding a matted engraved centre with subsidiary seconds dial and calendar aperture fronting a five-pillar eight-day weight driven movement with anchor escapement striking the hours on a bell - brass cased weights and brass bob pendulum 201.5cm high
