A FINE MID 19TH FRENCH ORMOLU AND 'SEVRES' PORCELAIN MOUNTED REVOLVING URN CLOCK the mask head, scrolled leaf and swag work Royal Blue porcelain urn surmount with double-revolving dials for hours and minutes indicating the time by an entwined serpent hand with arrowhead tongue, topped by a pineapple finial; the centre Adam style pedestal flanked by standing figures of children depicting music and art centred by an oval romantic landscape porcelain panel. The two-stage rounded rectangular base with leaf moulded borders enclosing exotic bird and flower spray panels centred by musical instruments; on a plinth base with bead-edged cast bun feet. The 8-day spring driven movement with outside countwheel strike on a bell - bears maker's stamp for Japy Freres and numbered 1636.
