TOMLINSON, NEWCASTLE. A RARE EARLY 19TH CENTURY FOUR-TRAIN MUSICAL MAHOGANY LONGCASE CLOCK the 16" painted arch dial with four season spandrels and gilt Roman chaptering enclosing subsidiary dials for tune selecting days of the week and date dial, below a rolling moon to the arch, fronting a substantial eight-day movement fitted with centre sweep seconds and anchor escapement, striking the hours and quarters on three bells. The large horizontal music barrel playing seven tunes on 14 bells on 28 hammers. The regency carved mahogany case with gadrooned panels split columns and lion paw feet.
