A PAIR OF LATE 19TH CENTURY FRENCH GILT GESSO SALOON CHAIRS with shaped buttoned backs beneath carved cresting and bead moulded borders, padded armrests with acanthus-carved supports, upholstered seats in green damask with close-nailed edging, the channel-moulded frames with paterae to the corners raised on tapering stop-fluted legs.
