A 19TH CENTURY OVERSIZED GILT BRASS GORGE CASE REPEATING CARRIAGE CLOCK the substantial moulded case inset with five bevelled glass panels enclosing a gilt masked filigree dial with silvered chapter ring and applied gilt Roman numerals fronting an eight-day spring-driven movement with large silvered compensated lever escapement striking and repeating on a gong - the back and front plate both engraved with the maker's initials 'AB' and signed by the retailer 'BOXELL, Brighton'
