A MID 18TH CENTURY BLACK LACQUER AND CHINOISERIE DECORATED EIGHT DAY LONGCASE CLOCK the arched top hood with moulded turned pillars, glazed side viewing windows and pagoda surmount fitted three gilt ball finials above an arched top long trunk door decorated figures in pagoda landscape settings, box base and double moulded plinth. The twelve-inch arched brass dial with cast rococo spandrels, silvered name boss, Roman and Arabic chapter ring and matted centre dial with date aperture and recessed flower head engraved subsidiary seconds dial fronting a substantial five pillar movement with anchor escapement and rack striking on a bell.
