AN EARLY 19TH CENTURY MAHOGANY EIGHT DAY MARINE CHRONOMETER MANTEL CLOCK the round arched case with brass urn finial and scrolled sides with carved rosettes on a plinth base, enclosing a 4 1/4" signed silvered dial with Roman numerals, gold hour and minute hands and blued steel subsidiary hands for up-and-down and seconds, fronting a signed eight day chain-driven fusee movement with Earnshaw spring detent escapement on a sub-assembly with chain guard, cut bimetallic balance with compensated weights and blued helical spring, going only.
