A LARGE EARLY 19TH CENTURY FRENCH ORMOLU FIGURAL MANTEL CLOCK WITH MUSICAL BASE, the case surmounted by a maiden in Eastern dress sitting on a lion's pelt on an acanthus leaf moulded base, the silvered dial with Roman numerals and fluted centre fronting an eight-day spring-driven movement with silk suspension striking the hours/half hours on a bell. The clock is displayed under a large glass dome raised on a figured mahogany base enclosing a Swiss pin barrel music box.
