A 17TH CENTURY BRASS VERGE STRIKING LANTERN CLOCK WITH ALARM the brass case with domed bell and urn finial, pierced foliate frets, turned corner columns and ball feet; enclosing a single brass dial with engraved centre signed "Thomas Knight Londini", Roman hours and inner alarm-setting disc; fronting a two train weight-driven movement with verge escapement and alarm train within the case, striking on the bell.

The dial, case and movement are all original to each other. The movement is complete with alarm work and is in working condition, but is dirty and will require service. The finials and bellstrap are also original. Comes with weights.
