HENRI RENE BUNZLI (1870-1961) AN EARLY 20TH CENTURY REGULATOR LONGCASE CLOCK the glazed mahogany case with brass corner pillars and architectual pediment pediment enclosing an 8" silvered engraved dial with Roman numerals and subsidiary seconds dial signed and dated 1909 fronting a high quality weight driven month duration movement with shaped brass plates, ajustable deadbeat escapement and Harrison maintaining power mounted on a large bracket with suspension block supporting a steel rod pendulum with gilt cylindrical bob. - Henri Rene Bunzli was born in Reims. He was an inventor who patented a device for obtaining and screening animated photography. He was also the founder of 'The French Manufacturers of Precision Instruments'.
