A LATE 19TH CENTURY FRENCH INDUSTRIAL AUTOMATION "HELMSMAN" TABLE CLOCK the case modelled as the stern of a ship mounted on a black marble base with the helmsman rocking left to right above a gilt dial with Arabic numerals fronting an eight-day spring-driven movement striking on a gong.
