RICHARD A. VEVAY (1772-1847) AN IMPRESSIVE SWISS FIGURED WALNUT REGULATOR LONGCASE CLOCK the figured walnut case with carved hood surmounted by a large wooden urn, the glazed trunk door enclosing a barometer with enamel dial signed by the French master enameller Coteau above a viewing panel to the gridiron pendulum, the 12 inch convex enamel time dial with gilt sunburst hands and fine sweeping seconds fronting an eight day weight driven movement with double pinwheel escapement, the pendulum suspended on knife edges with a gimballed support.
