WILLIAM MILLING, ISLINGTON. A LATE 17TH CENTURY WINGED BRASS LANTERN CLOCK WITH ALARM with brass bell straps, over knopped urn finials and foliated engraved frets, tapered pillars and winged doors over ball feet. The engraved chapter ring with Roman numerals and half-hour markers surrounding the foliate engraved centre with alarm dial fronting a 30-hour weight driven movement with verge escapement and anchor-shaped pendulum between the plates, the alarm work mounted on the backplate.
