A FINE GEORGE II WALNUT PENNY MOON LONGCASE CLOCK, with an arched segmented pediment and blind fret frieze above an arched glazed door on a slender trunk with moulded edge door and herringbone inlay, matching box base raised on bracket feet; the 12" arched brass dial with cherub head spandrels and silvered chapter ring enclosing a matted and engraved centre with subsidiary seconds dial and calendar aperture, the arch enclosing a penny moon aperture with moon age dial fronting an eight-day weight driven movement with finned knopped pillars and inside countwheel striking the hours on a bell.
