DANIEL QUARE, LONDON. A GEORGE I FIGURED WALNUT EIGHT DAY LONGCASE CLOCK The moulded pediment above pierced sound frets and a glazed door flanked by brass-capped turned columns on a slender trunk with flat top moulded door and crossbanded base raised on a plinth. The 11" square brass dial with gilt cherub head spandrels and silvered chapter ring enclosing a matted engraved centre with subsidiary seconds dial and calendar aperture fronting an eight-day weight-driven movement with five knopped finned pillars anchor escapement and outside countwheel striking on a bell.
