A MID 20TH CENTURY WEMPE HAMBURG OAK-CASED TWO-DAY MARINE CHRONOMETER the signed 4" silvered Arabic dial with 56-hour counter over a subsidiary seconds dial, the free-sprung spotted movement with blued steel helical hairspring, cut and compensated bimetallic balance, jewelled lever escapement and going barrel with maintaining power, set within a gimballed brass bowl numbered 5709, housed in an oak case with inset brass mounts and applied Wempe plate, the sides with receseed carrying handles.
19cm high, wide and deep.
