A GEORGE II FIGURED WALNUT 8-DAY LONGCASE CLOCK BY BENJ: GRAY & JUST: VULLIAMY, LONDON having a stepped caddy moulded hood with pierced fretwork panels, glass side windows and moulded tapering pillars above a cross-grain moulded full-length trunk door and crossbanded base raised on a stepped double moulded plinth, enclosing a 12" square brass dial with mask and scroll foliated spandrels, silvered Roman chapter ring with Arabic minutes ring and matted centre with seconds dial, date aperture, signed maker's plaque and blue steel hands, fronting an eight-day movement with five knopped pillars and deadbeat escapement striking the hours on a bell with strike/silent lever to the IX.
