A LATE 17TH CENTURY BURR WALNUT LONGCASE CLOCK the moulded top hood with carved frieze and turned gilt-capped columns above a D-moulded long trunk door on a crossbanded base; the 11" square brass dial with gilt cherub and crown spandrels and silvered chapter ring with Roman numerals surrounding a matted engraved centre with subsidiary seconds dial and date aperture, fronting an eight-day five-pillared weight-driven movement striking on a bell.
