A RARE GEORGE III MUSICAL AUTOMATION OVAL DIAL LONGCASE CLOCK the figured mahogany case with brass string inlay and ivory capped reeded columns enclosing an oval painted dial with Arabic numerals and days of the week subsidiary dial below a painted interior scene of musicians, the two violinists with moving arms fronting a substantial three train weight driven eight day movement playing forteen tunes per week, changing every 12 hours, plays each tune every 12 hours, plays each tune twice in succession each 6 hours, plays quarter chimes and strikes the hour, initialled "S.D.B." and dated 1801 on the front plate. - comes with a photo album with various pictures and information on the clock.
