A FINE GEORGE III ORMOLU MOUNTED MAHOGANY MUSICAL BRACKET CLOCK the case having an inverted bell top pediment and gilt torch finials above a glazed door flanked by ormolu caryatid canted corners enclosing an 8" brass arched dial with gilt pierced spandrels and silvered chapter ring with Roman numerals surrounding a matted centre with calendar aperture, the arch with two subsidiary dials for Chime/ Not Chime and Tune Selection fronting a large eight-day triple fusee movement with fully engraved backplate and verge escapement chiming one of two tunes on nine bells and the hours on a larger bell, when pressure is applied to the fusse barrell the music train plays the bells so theres no visible damage.

There is one finial missing from the case, and a section of veneer is missing from the left side. The case has a good colour and original polish. The caddy pediment is loose, and the dial is dirty but complete with no damage. The movement is original to the case; it has its original verge escapement, but the pendulum is replaced. The movement is complete with all its bells. The gut on the going train and musical train has snapped and will therefore require attention. Additional images of the movement have now been uploaded.
