WILLIAM GIB, ROTTERDAM. AN EARLY 18TH CENTURY BURR WALNUT DUTCH EIGHT-DAY PULL QUARTER REPEAT BRACKET CLOCK WITH MOONPHASE the 8.5" gilt brass arched dial with mask head spandrels and silvered Roman chapter ring enclosing a matted centre with mock pendulum aperture, ringed winding holes and date aperture below a rolling moon to the engraved arch and strike not strike lever to the side. Fronting a substantial double fusee movement with a fully engraved back plate and converted anchor escapement, pull quarter repeat on six bells and the hourly strike on a larger bell. The inverted bell top case with carrying handle and pineapple finials, fish scale sound frets and shaped apron raised on bracket feet.
