A LARGE EARLY 19TH CENTURY FRENCH MUSICAL ORMOLU PORTICO CLOCK the gilded case with acanthus leaf moulds and reeded Corinthian columns supporting a 5" dial with Roman chapter ring enclosing an engine-turned centre fronting a spring-driven eight-day movement with outside countwheel striking the hours/half hours on a bell, anchor escapement with compensated gridiron pendulum, the base enclosing a swiss pin barrel music box mechanism which is triggered by the clock movement.
