A LATE 20TH CENTURY IRANIAN SILK-ON-SILK CARPET the deep red field centred by a large lobed medallion issuing dense scrolling floral and foliate decoration, within multiple cream and guard borders of stylised palmettes and trailing vines, hand knotted with a density of approximately 100–150 knots per square centimetre, signed to the border, hand made in Iran, and accompanied by a certificate from the Azerbaijan Carpet Museum.
