A LATE 19TH CENTURY FRENCH PORCELAIN PANELLED REPEATING CARRIAGE CLOCK
A LATE 19TH CENTURY FRENCH PORCELAIN PANELLED REPEATING CARRIAGE CLOCK, having a gilt brass moulded case with reeded Corinthian corner columns inset with painted porcelain panels depicting ladies in Eastern dress, the polished silvered masked porcelain dial with Roman numerals on a grey ground with gilt highlights fronting an eight-day spring driven movement with original compensated lever escapement striking and repeating the hours on a gong. The backplate is stamped with the maker's marks "AB".

The case is very good condition, no damage or restoration to the porcelain panel or glass panerls, no cracks to the dial, the movement is ticking on the original lever escapement and striking/repeating the correct hours but may require a service. Comes with winding key.
