A LARGE LATE 19TH CENTURY FRENCH FOUR-GLASS MANTEL CLOCK WITH CALENDAR WORK AND MOONPHASE the moulded brass case with bevelled glass panels enclosing two silvered masked enamel dials with Roman chapter ring surrounding a sunken centre fitted a Brocot type escapement above a calendar dial with outer days surrounding day and month dials below a moonphase aperture fronting an eight-day movement striking the hours on a bell.

The case has very minor surface scratches to the top, and one of the glass side panels has a chip in the bottom corner otherwise in very nice condition, the clock dial has a hairline crack at 6 o'clock, the calendar dial has no damage, the movement is complete, ticking and striking the correct hours and is all linked up to the calendar mechanism. It may require a service.
