A LATE 17TH CENTURY PANELLED MARQUETRY AND WALNUT LONGCASE CLOCK, having a moulded pediment above a glazed door with barley twist columns on slender trunk with moulded edge and brass framed lenticle, the inlaid panels decorated with foliage and bird, on matching base, the 12" gilt brass dial with crown and cherub spandrels and silvered Roman chapter ring surrounding a matted engraved centre with subsidiary seconds dial and calendar aperture fronting an eight day weight driven movement with five finned pillars and inside countwheel striking the hours on a bell.
