A FINE LATE 17TH CENTURY 11" MONTH DURATION WALNUT AND PANELLED MARQUETRY LONGCASE CLOCK, the hood with barley twist columns on a slender trunk with D-moulded door, floral marquetry panels surrounded by a pendulum aperture above matching base raised on bun feet. The 11" square brass dial with gilt winged cherub's head spandrels and silvered chapter ring with Roman numerals surrounding a gilt matted engraved centre with subsidiary seconds dial and calendar aperture, fronting a five-pillar month duration weight driven movement with anchor escapement and outside countwheel striking the hours on a bell.
