A RARE AND LARGE MID 19TH CENTURY GILT AND ENAMEL STRUT CLOCK, the octagonal gilt brass foliate engraved case with fleur-de-lys finial above a glazed panel enclosing an oval silvered engraved dial with blue enamel Roman numerals and pink enamel roses fronting an eight-day spring driven movement with lever escapement signed on the backplate "THOMAS COLE, LONDON', the back of the case having a hinged strut, the domed cover with fixed winder and sliding aperture to reveal the escapement. Numbered 1720.
