A 20TH CENTURY HERMES ‘TOUCAN’ PATTERN PORCELAIN DINNER/TEA SERVICE all having toucans of varying colours perched on branches with green and yellow borders. Comprising of eight tea cups, eight saucers, eight soup bowls, eight side plates, eight dinner plates, eight dessert plates, two serving bowls or different proportions, a sauce dish, a butter dish, a tureen, a serving plate, a sugar pot, a tea pot and a cream jug. All have ing the green Hermes factory marks to the base, and all signed Hermes in the border decoration. (56)

Every piece has been checked under a UV light; there are no chips, cracks, or restorations on any piece. They all have the same appearance and manufacturing marks, and the painted surfaces are all in good condition. The set is in used condition; some items have tea/coffee marks, and there is sugar in the sugar bowl. We believe it is a full set, as the number of side plates, dinner plates, and bowls is equal. Some of the items have their original dust bags stamped Hermes. As to whether there would've been any additional serving dishes, we can't say. There is no original documentation with this set; it comes from a local estate, and authentication is based on the factory marks.
