AN 18TH CENTURY SILVER AND TORTOISHELL PAIR CASED POCKET WATCH BY BENJAMIN BARBER, LONDON the white enamel dial with Turkish numerals and beetle-and-poker hands, signed Benjamin Barber London, within a tortoiseshell and silver piqué outer case, the verge fusee movement with finely pierced and engraved balance cock, the inner case hallmarked, and an interior note recording Barber’s manufacture at 21 Red Lion Street, Clerkenwell, London, between 1788 and 1794.
