42" BROWNBESS CENTURY 42" SHORT LAND PATTERN BROWN BESS FLINTLOCK MUSKET, military issue, the steel barrel with proof marks to the breech and inscribed "Westmorland", rounded lock engraved with crowned 'GR' and 'Tower' on the tail, having walnut full stock with full regulation brass mounts, iron sling mounts. The brass escutcheon inscribed "7/37". Used by the military then later repurposed by Westmorland militia.
