A MID 19TH CENTURY FRENCH SILK SAMPLER dated 1846, work in colourful silk threads, an alphabet sampler with upper bands of darning designs and lower bands of flowers and leaves, all vertical, and finished with the name Dymphne Dens de Cheel, 1846. Cheel may have a connection with South America.
