ATT. CLARKSON FREDERICK STANFIELD (BRITISH 1793 - 1867) A 19TH CENTURY WATERCOLOUR WITH ANOTHER ATT. WATERCOLOUR one signed by C Stanfield the other attributed to him. The signed watercolour depicts a harbour scene, the other attributed watercolour and ink piece depicts a city river scene with figures - The larger drawing, marked Coblenz on the back, is a copy after Stanfield's steelplate print (engraved by S.Fisher) titled 'Coblence', facing p. 149 in Heath's 'Picturesque Annual' for 1833, 'Travelling Sketches on the Rhine and in Belgium and Holland'.

One 4.4 cm high and 6.5 cm wide,  the other, 7.8 cm high and 13.2 cm wide
