A LATE 17TH CENTURY BURR WALNUT 11” LONGCASE CLOCK the rising hood with moulded pediment above a pierced frieze and glazed door flanked by barley-twist columns on a slender trunk with moulded door with oval lenticle above a box base. The 11" gilt brass dial with winged cherub-head spandrels and silvered chapter ring surrounding a matted centre with engraved flower head, subsidiary seconds dial and calendar aperture fronting an eight-day weight-driven movement with five latched pillars striking the hours on a bell.
