DANIEL LE COUNT, LONDON. A LATE 17TH CENTURY WALNUT AND PANELLED MARQUETRY MONTH GOING LONGCASE CLOCK the 11" square brass dial with cast cherubs head rococo spandrels joined by floral engravings enclosing a silvered engraved Roman chapter ring with Arabic minute and half-hour markings, gilt matted centre, subsidiary seconds, date aperture and ringed winding holes fronting a month going movement with five finned baluster pillars, anchor escapement and outside countwheel strike on a bell (now missing). The hood with projecting cornice above a blind fretwork frieze, ebonised moulded hood pilasters and glazed side windows above a convex throat moulding and floral panelled full length door with oval lenticle, on a matching panelled box base and moulded plinth raised on bun feet.
