STEPHEN RIMBAULT, LONDON. A MID 18TH CENTURY THREE-TRAIN QUARTER STRIKING EBONISED VERGE BRACKET CLOCK the 7" arched gilt brass dial with rococo spandrels, Roman and Arabic silvered chapter ring and strike/silent dial enclosing matted centres with an arched name plaque, date aperture and mock pendulum above. The substantial six-pillar triple chain-driven fusee repeating movement with verge escapement, hour strike on a single bell and quarter strike on series of eight graduated bells; with a profusely engraved signed backplate. The ebonised bell top case with brass mounts and folding handle, pineapple corner finials and caryatid mounts to the corners, standing on Ogee bracket feet.
