A FINE LATE 19TH CENTURY WILLIAM AND MARY STYLE TORTOISESHELL BRACKET CLOCK, the tortoiseshell veneered case having nice proportions surmounted by a brass S-scrolled handle above a caddy top pediment and square glazed door enclosing a 5 3/4" sqaure brass dial with gilt winged cherub head spandrels and silvered Roman chapter ring surrounding a matted centre fronting an eight day double fusee movement with anchor escapement striking the hours on a bell, the backplate with engraved border surrounding a signed centre.
