JOHN BICKNILL OF CIRENCESTER FECIT. A LATE 17TH CENTURY BRASS STRIKING LANTERN CLOCK surmounted by five urn finials and brass bell straps supporting a large bell above a finely engraved pierced fret depciting the heraldic Royal Coat of Arms, the 6¼" silvered chapter ring with Roman numerals surrounding a matted centre, converted to two hands with original hour hand; the posted twin weight-driven movement with anchor escapement and domed collets striking the hours.
