CHARLES ORME, ASHBY-DE-LA-ZOUCH - DATED 1741. A FINE GEORGE II WALNUT BRASS BANDED AND INLAID ANGLE BAROMETER the folded figured walnut and brass-inlaid signpost style case with brass edge-mouldings, string inlays and matching rectangular cistern cover. The glazed silvered brass calibrated dial with double tube readings and rack and pinion vernier controlled by two brass turned finials.
