A GEORGE III ORMOLU MOUNTED EBONISED VERGE STRIKING BRACKET CLOCK with bell top and brass carrying handle, pierced foliate ormolu mounts and frets, glazed arched door and bracket feet, enclosing a 7" arched brass dial with silvered chapter ring, matted centre, mock pendulum and calendar aperture and a strike/silent dial to the arch, fronting an eight day double fusee movement with verge escapement and foliate engraved backplate striking on a bell.

The case is in its good, original, unrestored condition. There is a small piece of veneer lifting from the front door near the top hinge. The ebonised finish has rubbed but is original. The movement is original to the case and looks to have been cleaned in recent years. It may need a service but is in working condition and is striking the correct hours.
