the period ebonised case with inverted bell top above a dentil mould and blind fret frieze, the hinged door enclosing a 7.5" square brass dial with winged cherub head spandrels and silvered chapter ring surrounding a matted and engraved centre with pendulum and calendar aperture fronting an early associated eight-day fusee movement with verge escapement signed 'Frederick White, Great Haywood'
