A LATE 17TH CENTURY 11" EIGHT-DAY WALNUT AND PANELLED MARQUETRY LONGCASE CLOCK the hood with barley twist columns on a slender trunk with D-moulded door, floral marquetry panels surrounded by a pendulum aperture above a matching base raised on bun feet. The 11" square brass dial with gilt winged cherub's head spandrels and silvered chapter ring with Roman numerals surrounding a gilt matted engraved centre with ringed winding holes, subsidiary seconds dial, and calendar aperture, fronting a five-pillar eight day duration weight-driven movement with anchor escapement and inner countwheel striking the hours on a bell.
