A LARGE 19TH CENTURY GOOD QUALITY LEATHER AND BRASS MOUNTED CARTRIDGE CASE, baize-lined to the interior with original gunsmith label, having two leather buckled straps to the exterior. Stamped to the top of the case " Stewart Balmain XV The Kings Hussars", Stewart Balmain was a Major in the 15th Hussars, also known as The Kings Hussars. He was born in 1869 and joined the regiment in 1893.
