JOHN WIGHTWICK, LONDON. A RARE GEORGE III MINIATURE EBONISED TRIPLE PAD TOP VERGE BRACKET CLOCK of ebonised arched case with triple pad top and brass carrying handle, canted corners with gilt mounts, bevelled glazed side panels and brass bracket feet enclosing a 4" arched silvered dial signed John Wightwick London with Roman numerals, subsidiary strike/silent to the arch and pierced blued hands fronting a signed double fusee verge movement with foliate engraved backplate and knopped pillars striking on a bell.

The case, dial and movement are original to each other. The top of the case has a small piece of veneer broken off the edge of the middle pad, which is present inside the case. No other damage; the dial is also in very good condition, with original hands. The movement may need a service but is complete and in working condition, striking the correct hours. Comes with a winding key. The case is 24cm high, not including the handle.
