FROMANTEEL & CLARKE. AN EARLY 18TH CENTURY MONTH DURATION MARQUETRY LONGCASE CLOCK, the inlaid walnut case decorated with figures amongst scrolling foliage enclosing a 12" square gilt brass dial with winged cherub head spandrels and silvered Roman chapter ring surrounding a matted engraved centre with subsidiary seconds and alarm dials, calendar, day, month, and moonphase apertures, fronting a six pillar quarter chiming weight driven movement with alarm. - The clock is part of the Weayherfield collection and is illustrated in F.J. Britten "OLD ENGLISH CLOCKS". The book is also included with this lot.
