A GEORGE II FIGURED WALNUT 8-DAY LONGCASE CLOCK BY BENJ: GRAY & JUST: VULLIAMY, LONDON having a stepped caddy moulded hood with pierced fretwork panels, glass side windows and moulded tapering pillars above a cross-grain moulded full-length trunk door and crossbanded base raised on a stepped double moulded plinth, enclosing a 12" square brass dial with mask and scroll foliated spandrels, silvered Roman chapter ring with Arabic minutes ring and matted centre with seconds dial, date aperture, signed maker's plaque and blue steel hands, fronting an eight-day movement with five knopped pillars and deadbeat escapement striking the hours on a bell with strike/silent lever to the IX.

The clock is in good original condition; the case has a small piece of veneer missing from the side, no other losses and has a good colour and patina. The movement looks original to the case, sitting on the original seatboard; the clock is in working condition and striking the correct hours, but may require a service. Comes with door key and winding key; it also has its original weights and pendulum. Extra images have been uploaded.
